Website email connection privacy notice

The Faith Formation Website Mail connection lets authorised commission administrators connect the commission Gmail account to the website to send website emails. Students and visitors are not asked to connect their Google accounts through this application.

The connection requests permission to send email through Gmail. It does not request permission to read the commission inbox, contacts or calendar. Authentication credentials are stored by the website’s FluentSMTP plugin with its encryption enabled. Google and the website’s hosting provider process information needed to operate the connection. The OAuth authorization flow uses FluentSMTP’s callback service.

Emails include recipient addresses and message content. FluentSMTP is currently configured to retain website email logs for 14 days. Copies in Gmail and website backups may remain under those systems’ retention settings. Authorised website administrators can access email settings and logs.

Access can be revoked through the commission Google account and the connection can be removed from the website. For questions or requests concerning this email connection, contact faithformationblr@gmail.com.
