Come, little friend
Jesus is glad you are here. Bring your curious heart, and let’s discover something lovely together.
Come, sit with a story
One day, a traveller was hurt by the roadside. People passed by, but a Samaritan stopped. He cared for the traveller and found a place where he could rest.
Jesus told this story to help us love our neighbours. You can read it with a grown-up in Luke 10:25–37.
I wonder… who was a good neighbour?
The Samaritan, who stopped and cared. Being a neighbour begins with noticing someone who needs kindness.
What could I do?
You could invite someone to play, help put things away, or tell a trusted grown-up when someone needs help. Little acts of love matter.
Let’s say a little prayer
Sit comfortably. Take a gentle breath. You can say these words, or use your own.
Dear Jesus,
thank you for loving me.
Stay close as I learn and play.
Help me notice someone who needs a friend.
Make my little heart kind.
Amen.
Shall we make someone smile?
Choose one little thing to try today. You can do it with someone who cares for you.
- Draw a thank-you picture for someone who helps you.
- Invite someone who is alone to join your game.
- Help at home without waiting to be asked.
At bedtime, tell Jesus about your day. There is no score to earn and no perfect answer to give.
For the grown-up beside you
Read, wonder and pray together at your child’s pace. Welcome their questions. These activities need no account or personal details.
